What Storm Season Means for SERVPRO of North Garland

10/7/2020 (Permalink)

SERVPRO van parked outside a beach house in Alabama preparing to start a job. SERVPRO of North Garland is in Gulf Shores, Alabama working after Hurricane Sally made landfall.

Hurricane season started June 1st and doesn’t end until November 30th.  So far, 2020 has been one of the most active seasons in history with 25 storms as of October 5th. With nearly 2 months to go, we’re on track to overtake the current record which was 27 storms in 2005. The Weather Channel says it’s even possible we will see more than 30 storms in 2020.

In an active season like the one we are having, it’s not uncommon for other SERVPRO teams to travel to a storm site and help with recovery efforts. Our North Garland team has been on the road since Hurricane Sally and is now bracing for Hurricane Delta to hit Florida and Louisiana later this week. They have been working around the clock to help businesses and residents deal with storm-related water and mold damage.

It’s this work ethic that makes SERVPRO such a valuable resource in tough times. If you’re dealing with any sort of damage from water, fire or mold – we are ready to assist you. Just call us at 972-496-2441 and one of our experts will be happy to help.
